LATEST INFORMATIONMAY 16, 2024
We have moved to the south side of the tracks and hope to complete the new storm sewer system early next week. Expect to see excavation work start north of the tracks next week as we begin building the base for the new roadway. Metra crews expect to complete their signal replacement work by the end of this month. Intren crews working for ComEd should complete their work south of the tracks early next week. Please note that both the roadway and the pedestrian path are closed to traffic – that includes walkers and bicyclists. Crews work very diligently to make sure we are all safe as we work around construction equipment. The detour route applies to ALL traffic; an active construction site is simply not a safe area for bikes/pedestrians. MAY 9, 2024
We continue to install the new storm sewer system north of the railroad tracks. We now expect that work to finish early next week. We will move directly to the south of the tracks to complete that section of the storm sewer work. Expect to see Metra crews continue their signal replacement. Intren crews are working for ComEd to help adjust their power cables for the new storm sewer crossings and the new roadway pavement. MAY 2, 2024
