LATEST INFORMATIONNOVEMBER 14, 2024
Expect to see crews on site over the next few weeks completing a few of the remaining tasks along the roadway. Please be alert for vehicles and short-term lane closures. Rodenburg Road has a 30-mph speed limit between Central Avenue and Irving Park Road. Please drive the speed limit, watch for pedestrians/cyclists and drive courteously. OCTOBER 24, 2024
Over the next few weeks, crews will be completing landscape work and the remaining tasks along the roadway; please be alert for crews and short-term lane closures. REMINDER: In Illinois, cars/trucks must stop for pedestrian traffic. IDOT’s website and the Illinois Rules of the Road make this very clear: A driver must come to a complete stop (and yield)
Rodenburg Road is 30 mph with multiple crosswalks/sidewalks/paths between Central Avenue and Irving Park Road; please drive the speed limit, watch for pedestrians/cyclists and drive courteously. OCTOBER 17, 2024
Expect to see crews on site over the next few weeks completing landscaping work; they will also complete cleanup and the few remaining tasks along the roadway. Please watch for crews and short-term lane closures. Most of the work is outside the pavement, but some tasks need trucks to offload equipment/material. Crews installed flashing beacons at the crosswalk that will eventually connect the pedestrian path to the Schaumburg Metra Station. That South Access Road is not open to traffic yet (nor is the pedestrian path that leads from Rodenburg Road back to the Metra station); that roadway is being used by the developer’s contractors to access their site. Watch the Progress Report for updates as the developer completes work and opens that area for traffic and pedestrians. |
