LATEST INFORMATIONMAY 8, 2025
Crews installed the new solar-powered flashing beacons at the Travis Parkway pedestrian crossing. Pedestrians/cyclists can just press the pushbuttons on either side of the road and those beacons will light up to warn oncoming traffic. We expect to see ComEd on site Friday, May 9 to connect the permanent power for our roadway lighting system between Irving Park Road and the railroad crossing. Once that work is done, you will see those new lights coming on at dusk to help provide drivers with a better view of the roadway. The red lights at the top of the short poles along the east side of Rodenburg are the aviation obstruction lights that help pilots landing at Schaumburg Regional Airport; those lights will remain on all day and all night to help pilots on approach to the runway. Crews completed the installation of the new roadway lighting system along Rodenburg Road between the future North Access Road and the railroad tracks. Those red lights at the top of the short poles along the east side of Rodenburg are the aviation obstruction lights that help pilots landing at Schaumburg Regional Airport locate those poles as they approach the runway. We are working with ComEd to complete the permanent power connection. Once that is done, we will bring those new lights to life. NOVEMBER 14, 2024
Expect to see crews on site over the next few weeks completing a few of the remaining tasks along the roadway. Please be alert for vehicles and short-term lane closures. Rodenburg Road has a 30-mph speed limit between Central Avenue and Irving Park Road. Please drive the speed limit, watch for pedestrians/cyclists and drive courteously. |
